“EINDHOVEN AAN ZEE”
Inmiddels is Eindhoven, dat na de overstromingen van 2075 al geruime tijd midden op zee ligt, begonnen om een boulevard op de dijk aan te leggen met bijbehorende bebouwing. Het klimaat is drastisch veranderd en het is inmiddels zo warm geworden dat zoveel mogelijk mensen willen profiteren van een enigzins verkoelende zeewind aan de boulevard. In het centrum van de stad is het stervens heet. De nieuwe gebouwen zijn zo ontworpen dat de wind ook het land kan bereiken via de windgaten die gemaakt zijn. De afgeronde hoeken versterken de vormgeving van de gaten en zorgen ervoor dat de wind en de ruimte er doorheen vloeien. Ook groeien er inmiddels zonder problemen palmbomen in Eindhoven. Er is echter iets vreemds aan de hand. De blauwalg in zee zorgt ervoor dat de palmbomen door en door blauw zijn. Een uniek fenomeen dat de geleerden voor raadsels stelt. Men is nog steeds op zoek naar de oorzaak. Feit is dat het er maf uitziet zo’n blauwe palmboom. En het trekt nog toeristen ook!
Als je nu voor dit gebouw staat met daarachter de totale leegte, met alleen de zee en de lucht die te zien is zover als het oog kan kijken, wetende dat onder de zeespiegel eens vruchtbaar land lag, dan moet je wel even slikken. Uiteindelijk is het de bedoeling de hele dijk vol te bouwen. Het gerealiseerde deel is nu een kilometer lang. De hele omtrek van de voormalige rondweg zal bebouwd worden over een lengte van ongeveer 12,5 kilometer.
“EINDHOVEN AT SEA”

The climate as drastically changed. It is so hot that as many as possible want to profit the cooling breeze on the boulevard. In the centre of the city it is too hot to stay outside for a longer period. The new building on the boulevard is especially designed to let the wind reach the city through holes that are made in the building. The curved corners of the holes allow the wind to flow easily through these holes.
Palmtrees grow in Eindhoven without problems. But there is something strange going on with these trees. The “blue-green-algue” in the sea is the reason that the trees are blue. An unique phenomenon!! Scientists are still searching for the reason this has happened. The fact is, it looks strange! And many tourists are coming to Eindhoven to see this.
When you are now standing in front of this building, with the total emptiness behind it, with only the sea and sky to be seen wherever you’re eyes can reach, knowing that once upon a time the land beneath the actual sealevel was fertile, it is breathtaking. All of the dam is planned to be built with this architecture, which will result in a building with an outline of 12,5 km!!
